Installation Guide
How to Set Up Your System
Takes just a few minutes. Once set up, your plants water themselves.
Plan Your Drip Points
Decide where you want water released — around one large plant for even coverage, or down a row to feed multiple plants from one sensor.
Cut the 3 mm Tubing
Cut short lengths of the included tubing to space drippers up to 39 in from the sensor.
Chain the Drippers
Connect T-fittings in line, push tubing fully into each barb, and cap the chain with an end-piece dripper.
Test the Flow
Run water from the sensor and confirm every dripper releases evenly. Adjust the black screw on top of each dripper to fine-tune output.
Important setup note
3 mm drip tube is the smaller of the two Blumat line sizes — it carries water from each sensor to the plant. Use 3 mm fittings to extend the line, split it to a second drip point, or repair a damaged section.
Pro tip
One sensor can run up to 5 drippers in a standard setup — or as many as 25 in pressurized systems by adjusting the black screw on each dripper head. Cheaper than adding more sensors for the same coverage.
PLANT DRIVEN WATERING
Never Water Your Plants Again
Most watering systems run on a timer. Ours runs on a plant. No timers, electricity, or apps needed. Set it up in 30 minutes with only a pair of scissors. Powering greenhouses and home gardens across Europe since 1965 and now available in the USA.
One Sensor, 10 Drip Points
Branch a single Tropf-Blumat or Maxi sensor into as many as 10 watering spots — same flow control, much wider coverage.
The Fun Part
Building a Blumat system is honestly satisfying. Every part slides together cleanly, and you can rearrange the whole layout in an afternoon if you want.
One Less Reason to Hand-Water
Every fitting in the catalog is a step toward a system that runs on its own. Add it once, water automatically for years.

For the Next Plant
It's nice to have extra fittings on hand for those times new plants just show up at your house
Austrian Engineering
The same precision that makes Blumat sensors work for 60+ years lives in every connector, valve, and tube in the catalog.
Designed to Disappear
Tubes route flush against walls and pots. Once your system is in place, the watering becomes invisible — and so does the gear.
What's in the Box?

8 T-Fitting Drippers
Chain these together along your tubing line — each one releases water at its own spot. Connects with tubing on both sides so you can branch up to 5 drippers per chain.

2 End-Piece Drippers
Cap the end of each dripper chain. Only one tubing connection (no through-flow), so water releases at the final spot in the line.

6.5 ft of 3 mm Drip Tubing
The connecting tubing between drippers. Cut to length to space your drip points exactly where you need them — close together around one big plant, or spread out across a row.
